An assistant professor at the University of California called Beatriz da Costa has started a pigeon blog. From the about page:
The project equips urban homing pigeons with GPS enabled electronic air pollution sensing devices capable of sending real-time location based air pollution and image data to an online mapping/blogging environment.

For those of you read the title of this post and immediately thought “…is bent“, there’s a bridge on the south side of the tunnels at between Barnet and Potters Bar on the railway that has the legend inscribed on it. I noticed it the other day. I wonder how long it’s been there.

LocalCooling.com is a fantastic idea. No more struggling with the Windows Control Panel/Screen saver setup/etc. This little widget does the lot for you really easily and tells you how many trees you’ve saved too.
